COMPETITION

 

The pre-competitve sector is for children 5 years and older wishing to further improve their skills and train additional hours. These athletes train 2-3 times per week from 6-9 hours. An audition is required for admission although we recruit throughout the year if space is available. Starting at 8 years old, children are eligible for the competitive program and take part in regional, provincial or national events according to skill level and ability. Space is limited and athletes wishing to enter the competitive program must be evaluated. Please contact your sector for more information.

The competitive womens' program is for girls aged 5 years and older. Girls develop skills on four events: the beam, the vaulting table, uneven bars and floor. Other events such as the Tumble Trak and trampoline and are also used to learn or improve certain skills. Training hours from 6-25 hours per week and athletes participate in regional, provincial and national events depending on age and category. 

 

The competitive mens' program is designed for boys aged 5 years old and older. Boys develop skills on six events: the horizontal bar, parallel bars, vaulting table, floor, rings and pommel horse. Other events such as the Tumble Trak and trampoline and are also used to learn or improve certain skills. Training hours from 6-25 hours per week and athletes participate in regional, provincial and national events depending on age and category. 

The competitive trampoline, tumbling and double mini-trampoline programs are designed for athletes who wish to further their skill development and compete at regional, provincial and national level. Athletes develop their concentration and accomplish technical maneuvers.
